My assumption was incorrect. In the commentary on new Section 3008, Occupant Evacuation Elevators it says that the change is too extensive to be included in the book and that you need to purchase the 2009 IBC r|About the Author|ICC is a leading organization dedicated to developing a single set of comprehensive, coordinated national model construction codes.
